Add Pages and Content

Add all the pages to the site that were concepted by going to Site Management > Site Layout > Add a Page. You should start by renaming the Perpetua created pages such as Calendar of Events to actual pages that were concepted in their navigation. You can rename a page by going to that page and under Page Properties > Basic, and change the name of the page.

After all your pages are created/modified, start adding dummy content. Add a content box with placeholder text (www.lorips.com) to every page. Vary column widths and have some content boxes at full width and some at partial width all with varying content box styles where applicable. Add a calendar, event box, email subscription form, subpage box, etc. to different pages. This is so when going through the walkthrough with the client, we can have stuff on the pages so they don't feel overwhelmed with having a blank canvas. This is also good for testing purposes to make sure everything is looking as close as possible to concept and that nothing is broken.

Test and Tweak The Staging Site

View every layout that you've created (including the dynamic email).

Test page content by modifying and resaving. Make sure that if it is inheriting to other pages that it all works and functions properly. Verify that all your flash rotates and displays properly.

Set the default colors in Perpetua to match the concept. Go to Site Management > Edit Styles and set the default header size, color and background as well as the size color and background of the body to match the concept as close as possible. Click on the  > Site Style (Tab) at the top and adjust the link colors and their rollover color to match the site.

Test in all browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, iOS). Make sure everything looks the same and works the same. If there are any major issues, start troubleshooting and testing. This should be done through out the whole site build out process to head off any cross-browser issues before they get buried underneath a lot of other code. Catching the problems early can save a lot of searching time (i.e. if it worked before you added the last 3 divs, then there's something within those divs that is throwing something off in that browser).

Verify that the site looks and functions the proof and project notes in every way. If it does not, then Mike needs to be notified and informed of any issues before submission to the Account Executive.
